Mark Coleman Suffers a Heart Attack

Dana White created the Ultimate Fighting Championship in 1993, never knowing it’d become an internationally loved sports organization for Mixed Martial Arts. When the UFC first began in 93’ there were few that believed it’d become a prominent organization. However, competitors like Mark Coleman excited professional fighting supporters. Mark Coleman would become the first UFC Heavyweight Champion & enter the Hall-of-Fame in 2019. Unfortunately, bad news struck headlines for older supporters of Mark Coleman. The Coleman Family confirmed that Mark had suffered a heart attack.

Fans were informed by Morgan Coleman (Daughter to Mark Coleman) that her father was sustaining stable conditions and that doctors expect him to make a full recovery before November 9th. Mark Coleman is being kept inside an unnamed medical institution until a multitude of tests is completed, and the subsequent results received. Confirmation on Mark Coleman’s heart attack & his stable condition was issued via Instagram.

The Career of Mark Coleman

Generations of fighters have witnessed the formidable skillsets of Mark Coleman, who began his career in 1982. Wrestling was the initial fight-form taught to Coleman while competing in high school. Those skillsets provided him scholarship into college, where Mark Coleman would become an “All-American Wrestler”. Several championships under the Pan American Division were acquired, which prompted his entrance to the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics for freestyle wrestling.

Mark Coleman wouldn’t enter the Ultimate Fighting Championship until 1996, four years after becoming an Olympic Athlete. Several years were sustained for Mark Coleman as “UFC Heavyweight Champion”, which is still one of the longer stints in UFC history. Supporters of Mark Coleman wouldn’t retire from the UFC until 2010. Fans worldwide have extensively used Coleman for comparisons to up-and-coming fighters in the UFC.
